Exclusive Interview w/ Kendrick Lamar @ Southpaw (Video)
After a stellar show in front of a packed house at Southpaw in Brooklyn, Compton’s most promising new MC Kendrick Lamar spoke with MTD about his east coast rap influences, a hypothetical weed anthem with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y and of course his upcoming release, Section.80. The night’s headliner also commented on the reception to his latest track “Reagan Era” featuring RZA , the delayed collaboration LP with J. Cole that’s in the works and Michael Jordan vs. King James comparisons. Kendrick is on pace to have a monster 2012 if he continues to deliver like he’s been doing as of late.
