New rap artist Saint Nick hails from Atlanta via South Carolina. His lyrical style and delivery is a near flashback to the golden era of ‘90s Hip-Hop. With preparations to drop his newest mixtape Born Hip-Hop soon, we wanted to interview the impressionable emcee and get his resume.

Who is Saint Nick?

Saint Nick is a young kid from South Carolina who dreams on being the greatest emcee to ever live. Faced with adversities, but still doing it.

How would you describe your music and or sound?

My sound is definitely east coast influenced. I listened to New York artists like Nas, Jadakiss and Styles P for example. I took from those guys and molded with what I do to make my sound along with the stuff that I saw where I was growing up. I just molded both things together and it blends well for me and it works out so. The outcome is what you hear.

Tell me about your upcoming mixtape and have been any previous ones to drop?

Yeah “The Intern” was the first one with DJ Infamous. I dropped another one called “The Promotion” and now my new mixtape is called Born Hip-Hop: The Past The Present and Te Future. It’s my cover on ‘80s and ‘90s Hip-Hop. I’m setting it up like past, present and future. It music that I liked growing up and I’m sure other people loved it too.

Who were some of your musical role models growing up?

Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Pac, Ice Cube, Nas, Eminem. Those are like just the standards, but other people that I used to listen to and take from are Grand Puba, Too $hort, UGK, Snoop, Dr. Dre. I listened to everything. Everything that’s great, I take from it and apply it to what I’m doing.

Have you worked with any artists?

The only Atlanta artist that I’ve really worked with so far is Cyhi Tha Prynce. He’s super dope to me. He’s very clever and just very creative. He makes me work even harder at what I do. As far as other artists that I would like to work with, I would have to say Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z and Eminem.

So what’s your ultimate goal as continue to move forward and make your mark in this game?

I want to bring something unique and refreshing to this game. My eyes are focused on the crown. I want to be in the conversations with the Jay-Z’s, the Pac’s and B.I.G.’s. I want to be considered one the greatest like these high caliber people when it’s all said in done.

Any final words?
