J Cole on Possible Joint Album with Kendrick Lamar

If this ever takes place, then it will be something that many gravitate to.
“We got maybe four or five [songs] together,” the rapper said. “I just started working with Kendrick the other day. We got it in, finally, again.
“[It's gonna be an] album, man,” Cole continued. “We actually worked, bouncing ideas, which was great. The vibe was so good that it’s that’s absolutely gonna happen.”
“I’m not on Twitter no more, I’m not doing it and I’m not going to,” Cole said. “I’m sitting and on watching all these artists who I respect — some of them are big artists — on Twitter fighting for attention. Every tweet is like, I’m looking for attention. Retweet me! It comes from this place of fear, like I don’t want people to forget about me. But really, your body of work speaks for you, so it’s doing work even when you’re not knowing it. But, because people ain’t talking about you on Twitter or your mixtape ain’t trending, you feel a certain kind of way. But when it’s my time, I’m gonna load up all my clips and I’m gonna empty ‘em out.”
Sports: Derrick Rose May Miss All of Next Season
This is not good news for the young star. I hope he doesn’t end up like Brandon Roy and Greg Oden.
When Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose when down with an injury late last month, during the first round of the NBA Playoffs, no one knew the severity of the injury.
Reports are now coming in, and it looks like the 23-year-old NBA star may miss some games next season, possibly all of them.
Rose underwent surgery to repair his left ACL on Saturday (May 12), and doctors say he’s expected to be out of commission for 8-12 months.
“Derrick is doing great,” Dr. Brian Cole told ESPN.com on Tuesday (May 15) at a press conference at Rush University Medical Center. “The surgery went extremely well. Really no surprises. It was pretty routine. (more…)
Jay Z on Getting His Own Music Festival

The king of pop(no typo) Jay Z is getting his own music festival in Philly. We all know that this is just one of the many great things that Jay will accomplish in his lifetime. The race to a billion is neck and neck when it comes to the great african american moguls such as Jay, Puff, Dre, and the rest of them.
The event is called the Budweiser Made in America music festival and will take place on September 1st and 2nd. Jay plans to do this every year going forward. Tickets go on sale on May 23rd at Livenation and Ticketmaster.
UPDATE: Jay confirmed the news during a press conference in Philly, adding that about 70% of the artists are already confirmed.

Music News: Janet Jackson Working on New Album
Janet Jackson has revealed that she has started work on a new album.
The singer explained that the record is in its early stages and as yet has no release date.
She told That Grape Juice: “It’s in the beginning stages. I’ve been putting it together. I’ve been working on that and directing. And also I just did a deal with Lionsgate, so I’ve been producing, putting all that together.
“[I'm] starting the process of getting the songs, of getting everything together for the album.”
Asked about her recording process, she said: “It really starts with my life, and where I am in my life at that moment. And that’s the beginning of the energy, the beginning of the process.
“I need to make sure I start feeling that thing when I sit and write. That’s where true love begins.”
The star also revealed that she is a fan of Adele and Bruno Mars, explaining: “I think he’s absolutely wonderful. He’s very talented and I love how he’s kind of low-key about it. It’s nice.”
The album will be Jackson’s eleventh set after 2008′s Discipline, which topped the US Billboard chart, shifting 500,000 copies.
