SB.TV was the only online media platform in the UK to catch up with Drake exclusively and we found out about his transition from a successful acting career to having the most anticipated hip-hop album of 2010.
So, MeetThaDealer was in the building for Currensy’s listening session for his new album entitled, “Pilot Talk” at Dame Dash’s art gallery in Tribeca, NYC. I honestly had a blast! (the albums not bad either) The album was definitely worth the wait and the atmosphere of the “Dojo” only added to the music’s intensity. I actually ate some weed rice krispy treats with Spitta and haven’t quiet been normal since! Everybody support real Hip-Hop and purchase “Pilot Talk” next week. Jets!

Jay Rock: Man, I got a lot of new stuff going on, a lot of new music coming up, just working on music man. Keep your ears open…
MTD: Okay, what do you think about your response from the 30 Songs, 30 Days joint?
JR: I got a good response, the streets been loving it, they’re loving every song, they keep telling me to keep it going so that’s what I’ma do.
MTD: As far as LA, how’s the Hip-Hop scene out there going right now?
JR: The Hip-Hop scene is going real cool. Like I said, a lot of new music comin out here, others such as myself. Shouts to my boy Kendrick Lemar, his EP did real good, make sure ya’ll check that out. My boys Half Souls, they’re doing their stuff. Shout out to my boy G Malone, he been doing his stuff, he been killing ‘em. Shout out to Nipsey Hussle. A lot of cats out here in the West, I could be here all day.
MTD: Your music, basically in a nut shell, being hard core, do you think that’s still relevant in the times of now where it’s more like swag rap and..
JR: Me personally, I feel other music doesn’t really have soul. I got songs for everybody. When you hear my album, the album is dropping this summer, and I got songs for everybody, its just real music. If you like real music then that’s what you’re gonna get from me, reality music. I got songs that are gonna make you laugh, I got songs that might make you cry, I got songs that might make you feel good, I just got something for everybody
