The other night The Alchemist took to Twitter to elaborate on his upcoming project Russian Roulette and reveal what appears to be all of the slated guests on his upcoming release. Al stated clearly that “Russian Roulette is not an album”  and that it will be dropping June 26th. Some of the features include Action Bronson, ScHoolboy Q, Danny Brown, Mr. Muthaf*ckin’ eXquire and Chuuwee. This project is sounding like it’ll have a good blend of mean muggin’ and lyrical hip-hop. “Juke”, who’s full, yet unofficial, stage name is “Jukebox”, put out his debut mixtape effort entitled “real dreams ep” on February 9 of 2012 (download link attached). His Intriguing originality drew in lots of new followers & fans while the thought provoking, poetic narrative in each of the songs made this mixtape/EP a huge and memorable experience for everyone that listens to it.

Jukebox has an eclectic group of musical influences, none bigger than those that came before him in the city where he was born; Atlanta. Artists such as Andre’ 3000 & Goodie Mob accompanied by a host of alternative artists and most recently Drake & the Weeknd make up Juke’s principal influences. Hip Hop is the creative starting point for “juke*”, but due to his motley group of influences, a million other sub-sounds are mixed in resulting in unmistakable originality. (more…)

While Mobb Deep fans have been singing the blues all day, Lupe Fiasco’s loyal supporters will be happy to know that the Chicago rapper has completed his third studio LP, Food & Liquor 2. Lupe went up to the Atlantic Records offices today to turn in the album and tweeted the following:

Food&Liquor2:GreatAmericanRapAlbumPt.1 is in NYC…1st label listening session….”

Lu had expressed his ambition to makes this a double album previously but there’s no confirmation as of yet if this will be a two disc effort.
