A lot of times when people think about what’s lacking in today’s hip-hop, they wonder where all of the sincere and original artists are. Emerging Canadian based artist Harvey Stripes fills that void with his winning, entrancing sound and staple baby voice that has everyone hooked on his new album.
After becoming one of Canada’s most recognizable emerging artists, Harvey Stripes is hitting U.S. airwaves with his new project “A Dollar and A Dream.” His single “Come On” featuring Lloyd has everyone going crazy with entrancing hooks and “Sobriety” with Mario has already gained a lot of success. He describes his work as “Boastful at times, vulnerable, and more.”
If you are wondering how his major singles are adding up, you can’t be bored with “Must Be the Money,” because you automatically start with a heavy intro and effortless lyrics. Some of his ideas maybe monotonous like (money and women), but he talks about a level where people aim to be. A little inspiration won’t hurt.
When you take a closer look at all of his tracks, you can’t help but recognize this self-made artist who has a noticeable lineup of features that emphasize on his ear-popping flow like French Montana, Lloyd and Mario as well as Canadian sensations A-Game, JRDN, Mayhem Morearty, Lokz and Captain Hooks. There aren’t many artists with a sound like Harvey’s in hip-hop so all of those hungry for something new, different, and real, have something to look out for.

MMG’s Pill prescribes his long awaited mixtape, The Diagnosis, hosted by DJ Scream. The project was originally slated to be Pill’s debut album but since he’s teamed with Maybach Music group the rapper decided to get back in the studio and work on a new debut, instead giving The Diagnosis to us early. The tape features Gucci Mane, Pusha T and of course labelmate Meek Mill and the boss Rick Ross among others.

After a few delays, YMCMB’s BX native finally releases his anticipated mixtape, Son Of a Gun, hosted by DJ IllWill and DJ Rockstar. The lengthy tracklist boasts features from Meek Mill, School Boy Q and Uncle Murda to name a few.
