Here at MTD we’re all about finding new talent and giving cats that are nice with theirs a chance to be heard by music fans at large. I usually have my ear to the streets at all times but with so much music, somethings always bound to go under the radar. Yesterday Louisiana newcomer Cooly Wright dropped his introductory EP, 12:00 AM, and one of my blogger homies sent the joint over thinking it was worth my time.  After hearing the joint “PayDay” I was compelled to agree with his assumption. Newly signed to Universal Records, Brooklyn’s own Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire serves up some new rhymes via his new joint, “Now A N*gga Rappin.” eX will be bringing that Peel Off passion overseas as he tours Europe later this month so we may see some viral content from his trip soon.

 Game’s new mixtape, California Republic, drops tomorrow. In the meantime, Chuck Taylor and DJ Skee preview a handful of tracks for the fans to get familiar with the new offering from the West Coast emcee.

Before G.O.O.D. Friday arrives with “Mercy,” Flex delivers us from evil Yeezy limbo and drops a new joint from the G.O.O.D. boss featuring DJ Khaled and Chi-Town’s DJ Pharris. The song is titled “Theraflu” and is produced by “N*ggas In Paris” producer Hit-Boy. Kanye unravels a few personal truths on this one which is rumored to be the first single off DJ Khaled’s sixth LP, Kiss The Ring.

TUGE continues his campaign as one of the dopest new emcees just under the radar by jumping on Nicki Minaj’s “I Am Your Leader” featuring Rick Ross and Cam’ron. The NYC bar-flipper brings some clever punchlines and humorous references on this jumpin’ production off Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. If TUGE brings the same type of tracks  he’s been dropping on his upcoming mixtape Ignorant Elegance then a lot of these new rappers might want to stick with their day jobs.

I was on Nah Right on Saturday scrolling thru being a fan, trying to see what’s going on in the music world. Young Roddy dropped a tape on Sunday and I got inspired and felt like rappin’. So I called my engineer Mat Cody up and told him to come to the trap. I rapped over some of my friends beats plus a few other tunes I thought was cool, hit 2 of my homies from Harlem, and put it out for free cuz I felt like it. #Rrrright – DZA

In light of “37 SHOOTINGS, 46 VICTIMS & 9 MURDERS” during Chicago’s first ‘warm’ weekend, the Trayvon travesty, 6-year old Aliyah Shell, and in honor of my cousins Ismail & Malik that were gunned down last summer…I felt as though this was the time to drop this song. Shouts to Lupe for helping me paint a vivid picture of what goes on everyday in Chicago and every other ghetto in America.
