Jim Jones e1314142494325 Whats Beef?: Jim Jones Fires Shots At Lil Wayne

Dipset Capo Jim Jones was none-to-pleased at Lil Wayne’s wardrobe selection for his performance on last night’s VMAs on MTV and he took to Twitter moments ago to voice his opinion. Maybe blood isn’t thicker than water in the case of these two red flag reppin’ rappers. Since it doesn’t look like Wayne will get a response to his Jay-Z diss, maybe he’ll take advantage of Jimmy’s diss and capitalize on it during Tha Carter IV‘s album release week. Read Jim’s tweets from today below.

Lil Wayne 2 Music News: Lil Wayne Comments On Its Good Jay Z Diss

Responding to all the chatter of a “Beef” between him and Jay-Z and he’s seemingly obvious jab at Sean carter on “It’s Good” which dropped yeasterday, Lil Wayne had the following response VIBE about to the uproar:

“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” says a confident Wayne when asked if he had second thoughts about recording his acidic verse for ‘It ‘s Good.’ “I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction.”

Wayne seems pretty confident in his response, but we’ll see if any after shocks are to follow the initial quake it the diss caused on Twitter yesterday.

Music News: Jadakiss Wants No Parts of Jay-Z vs. Lil Wayne Beef

jadakiss dont start nuttin Music News: Jadakiss Wants No Parts of Jay Z vs. Lil Wayne Beef

Twitter and the Internets went into a frenzy earlier today when we heard Tha Carter IV track “It’s Good: featuring Drake and Jadakiss due to some bars from Lil Wayne that were clearly aimed at Hov. In the aftermath of the shots fired Jadakiss wanted to clear up the situation on his end and remove himself from any possible rap beef that may ensue.

The L.O.X. emcee took to Twitter and stated that if he had beef with anybody he would make it known by using their name. Kiss handled this mess quickly and efficiently which he probably learned to do from the last time he made enemies with someone for just being featured on a song i.e. Ja Rule’s “New York, New York” sparking some words on wax between Jada and 50 Cent.

Lil Wayne is also playing this down as just rhymes and boosting the hype for his new album which drops Monday.

“Me and my wit, given my wit, I would probably play off of it,” Wayne explained. “But I wouldn’t make it a competition, because actually, the subject that he’s talking about in that line, I can’t box with the god. I’d be the first one to tell you that, given my wit, and the type of person that I am, I’d capitalize and I’d play off of it. Yeah, I definitely would.”

Who knows if Jay-Z will even respond but some Wayne fans are now even more glued to C4 and just waiting for a possibly explosive rap war.

Jay-Z Interview On Hot 97 W/ Angie Martinez (Denies Beef W/ Kanye West)

angie jay z Jay Z Interview On Hot 97 W/ Angie Martinez (Denies Beef W/ Kanye West) One half of “The Throne” surprised Angie Martinez during her Hot 97 radio show this afternoon. Hov spoke to Angie about a myriad of topics includind “Otic,” his Power Breakfast, Beanie Sigel and most importantly the alleged issues with Kanye West as reported today by the NY Post. Jay-Z clarified the matter by saying the following:

“Kanye is a genius talent. Yeah we had a fight or something…I heard that[...] I know we’re doing something right when I woke up to all that, I was like okay we’re hot now [...] Kanye’s my brother.

Yes we get on each other’s nerves  but that’s part of pushing each other…the people who have problems with Kanye and myself are the people who are complacent in life.

People don’t like to be pushed, it’s annoying. We push each other to be greater so yes at times in the studio where we’re yelling but that’s about it.

I would never put my…I would never disrespect that man, I have so much respect for him. Put my hands on him…if I did it would be like in a backyard, you know…like brothers and you would never hear about it.”

Smif-N-Wesson and Pete Rock Statement on NYPD Brutality on June 28 (Bonus Video)

smiff pete Smif N Wesson and Pete Rock Statement on NYPD Brutality on June 28 (Bonus Video)

FUCK THE NYPD FOR THIS SHIT!!

On Tuesday, June 28th, Pete Rock, Tek & Steele (of Smif N Wessun) were celebrating the release of their collaborative album, ‘Monumental.’ It was a peaceful gathering inside of a sold-out Tammany Hall (lower-east side Manhattan, NY) to see the group perform new music from the project. Earlier in the evening some guests wanted to enter the event but were turned away by the management and bouncers employed by the club. A minor argument ensued, but eventually was diffused by the bouncers. Thirty minutes after that minor skirmish 15-20 uniformed Police Officers from the 7th precinct arrived at the venue. Shortly after even more uniformed officers arrived. The officers then hurried into the club and began macing and assaulting individuals inside the club, dragging one of them out and pummeling him directly in front of the club. Present at the event were artists, industry tastemakers, fans, photographers, and cameramen. Several people began filming and recording the unprovoked brutality, much to the dismay of the police. The officers then began to mace and assault anyone within arms length, including several women. Kenneth Montgomery, the group’s attorney, who was in attendance at the event, stated that the Police “behavior was unjustified, unprovoked, and simply barbaric considering there was no provocation.” Pete Rock, Tek and Steele fortunately were not harmed, however some of their friends & family were assaulted by the Police. The group’s attorney, Kenneth Montgomery, is addressing the situation now with local community leaders & is available for comment with more detailed information.

BALLER STATUS: Cassidy has been having some legal issues, following an arrest earlier this month in New Jersey, but that’s not all he’s been dealing with. Apparently, some of his personal relationship have fallen apart, and one good friend won’t even return his calls.

In a series of Twitter posted earlier this week, the Philly rapper revealed that he hasn’t spoken to mentor Swizz Beatz in over a year. In fact, he says the super producer won’t even take his calls.

“@THEREALSWIZZZ don’t even answer my calls anymore,” Cassidy wrote (@CASSIDY_LARSINY). “We ain’t speak in over a year: i thought we was fam, but times change, Smh That why I changed.. Ain’t no love loss.. It is what it is.”

As he continued replied to Swizzy, the rapper explained that the producer released him from their deal so that he could explore other things, and since then, they haven’t spoken.

However, Cass said there was no love lost.

“It’s never a war, I’m just speaking my mind.. How can we talk if you never pick up, You said you let me do my own thing ASAP, but what does that have to do wit communicating, since I’m doing my own thing you don’t talk to me anymore..,” Cassidy wrote. “Thats crazy..

“@THEREALSWIZZZ the only reason I’m on twitter is cause that’s the only way I can reach you.. RealRap,” he concluded.

Cassidy and Swizz Beatz were very close at the beginning of the rapper’s career. Swizz signed Cassidy to his Full Surface imprint, and is responsible for his biggest hits — “I’m a Hustla,” “My Drink N My 2 Step,” and “Hotel.”

At press time, it didn’t look like Swizzy had replied to Cassidy’s tweets.

However, on the same day Cassidy had tweeted about the lack of communication, the producer wrote: “Positive vibes in 2011 plus anything else will not be accepted point blank period!!!!!!!#lifeis2short4BS”
