boosie53 2 Throwback: Lil Boosie I Quit

I was just about to lay it down for the night, and this song came on in my Ipod; from there I was like I gotta post this track for ya’ll. Alot of people cant really understand why Boosie has such a occult following. Honestly, if you didn’t live in these conditions, or face similar situations, I guess I would be the same way. Boosie’s music isn’t really applicable to the East Coast enviorment. However, if you can step outside your surrounding’s and visualize what he’s speaking, then it will make that much more sense why people refer to him as a modern day Tupac. In this song listen to his pain as he describes himself being in the hospital after overdosing on syrup (promethazine). You can tell that this song derived from a real life experience, DAMN if it’s not “lyrical,” it’s deeper then a punch line. It’s actually really sad that he got bagged, because he really is hands down the realist out. Free Boosie!

It’s songs like this, that make people say Boosie is the modern day Tupac. Again, this is southern rap tunes, I’m not really expecting people from the east coast to really gravitate toward this. But those that can recognize real talent can see this is that ish!

The War Report Sunday Throwbacks: CNN Iraq See The World

I figured I would post a throwback for the true heads out there. If you know CNN, you know this is one of the joints off the “War Report” album. This song brings about a certain mental picture in my head. I envision myself, smoked out, in the backseat of a jeep cherokee starring at the streets on a rainy day. Watching the transactions take place, observing the NYPD on the creep, the older heads, with a half pint of Cognac, smoking, laughing and watching their life go by. If only there were artists now producing thought evoking material like this. I heard a few joints off the new CNN album; they’re not bad, but I’m not too gung ho over them either.
