Frank Ocean was another one of the acts that brought fans out in droves to the Coachella festival in California this weekend. The Beastie Boys sans MCD were in attendance last night to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and Mike D and Ad-Rock were presented the honor by Public Enemy’s own Chuck D. A special tribute performance took place afterwards featuring The Roots, Travie McCoy and Kid Rock. You can watch the entire ceremony Monday, May 5th on HBO. The Beastie’s now have the right to party forever.

Checkout Universal Records’ Azealia Banks entire performance at this weekend’s Coachella festival. The 20-year-old femcee took the stage in Indio, CA yesterday to make her official U.S. live debut. Her set including performances of her breakout track “212″ as well as “Bambi,” “Valerie” and “F*ck Up The Fun.” I’m not particularly a big fan of hers but even with all the attention she’s been receiving as of late wasn’t enough, there’s bound to be more eyes on Azealia after the kind of show she put on this weekend.

Chuuwee’s Crown Me King mixtape drops on April 24th, followed by his debut album Wild Style on May 29th.

Childish Gambino proved to have what was one of Coachella’s standout performances. The comedian/actor/rapper surprised thousands of screaming fans when he brought ought Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown to perform their verses on the remix to Gambino’s “You Know Me.” You can also watch footage of Childish performing his single, “Heartbeat,” after the jump.
Mississippi mic gripper Tito Lopez dishes out yet another radio show freestyle for Hot 97.5′s Bootleg Kev in Las Vegas. The Capitol Records signee takes on the Jahlil Beats-produced Red Cafe banger “Let It Go” and goes ape sh*t with rhymes about being a lone wolf. Tito’s debut album drops later this year. #Bars
The Creator’s Project recently sat down with MPC wizard AraabMUZIK for an artist spotlight where he discusses how he was first drawn to making music, getting his initial exposure through YouTube clips and linking up with The Diplomats. The Rhode Island native also reveals that he’s working on a collaborative effort with A$AP Rocky titled A$VPMUZIK. That definitely sounds like a project with plenty of heatrocks.
