Alicia Keys stopped by BET‘s 106 & Park to talk to talke about her new hobby on the 1′s and 2′s as DJ AK-47, her baby Egypt and family life with Swizz Beatz, as well as new music she’s working on. Ms. Keys also discusses how she’s been drawn to Tumblr and being the executive producer of the new Broadway play, Stick Fly.

Swizz Beatz drops the official music video for his “Reethym Of Life” Reebok ad campaign. The song titled “International Party” features his wifey alicia Keys. The video is directed by Chris Robinson. Showtime!

Last night Kanye West’s “All Of The Lights” featuring 11 all stars to help contribute to the track, John Legend, The Dream, Ryan Leslie, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Kid Cudi, Rihanna & Elton John, leaked on the web (the beauty of the internet). A snippet of the song was featured in Kanye’s new Runaway video as well. As you take a listen to the track the stand out feature is mainly Rihanna with her strong vocal contribution. Kanye is on top of the game right now and he is not playing around!

Swizz Beatz is also a painter, if you haven’t known that. He’s done paintings of many different kinds, including one for Michael Jackson after he died. Well, now it seems Swizzy has moved on to body canvases and his first was his lovely wife Alicia Keys. Today he posted the photo on Twitter along with these messages:


He is after all right, art is life and life is love. Couldn’t have been said any better.

After giving birth to her first child, a son named Egypt, Alicia is loving the joys of motherhood so far. On October 16th, Alicia and Swizz Beatz welcomed their son Egypt into the world that night and after a week, Alicia takes to her website to blog on her proudest moment:

Every moment is beautiful; delicious even! Every moment I’m learning and living in a way I never have before. Being present in a way I never have before. Existing in moments I never have before.

Never have I felt so calm, so purposeful in taking the time to truly observe the world around me, to live in it fully and watch it, discuss it, put time toward it. It feels really incredible – so peaceful, so complete and long overdue.

I’m grown, I’m confident, I’m secure, and so blessed to be these things.

I’m most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body. The ability to create all these small amazing machines of veins, capillaries, digestive systems, eyes, ears and noses. I can spend HOURS looking at one little EAR! Have u ever noticed how complex just an ear is? A tiny maze of art. It may sound silly but it’s so true. Or a heartbeat? Everyday we wake up and in some way, take for granted the fact that this beautiful pulsating organ in our body is the reason, and yet now that’s all I can think of…

And breath; invisible as it may be, how necessary!

Ain’t it true that things we really can’t see are of the greatest importance?

I’ve never seen a more beautiful face in my LIFE! The most perfect eyes and beautiful nose, the sweetest lips and skin so soft and kissable!

Never have I felt such disbelief, such awe, humility, godliness, such strength, power and possibility.

I’ve never believed in greatness and the never ending Higher Power more than now!

And I can’t believe he’s mine!

It’s a boy for Alicia Keys and her husband, music producer/rapper Swizz Beatz.

A representative for Keys said she gave birth Thursday night in New York. The couple have named their son Egypt Dean. It’s the first child for the 29-year-old superstar and the fourth child for Beatz, whose real name is Kaseem Dean. The couple was married July 31.

Swizz Beatz, 31, took time to tweet on Friday: “I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life.”
