It’s rare that Jay-Z delivers a free track of any sort to the Internets but being that this past weekend was very special for Hov, he decided to record a new joint in honor of his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Even though she’s not even two days old, Papa Carter managed to get an audio clip of his baby girl on the track. Roc-a-bye baby.

It’s official, Beyonce and Jay-Z are now proud parents of a healthy baby girl. The couple’s first child, named Blue Ivy Carter, was born via scheduled c-section at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City on Saturday night. According to the New York Daily News, Beyonce reportedly checked into the hospital on Friday night under the alias “Ingrid Jackson.” Hospital staffers revealed that the superstar couple rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million in order to maintain a maximum level of privacy and create a secure environment for the birth where no photographs or video could be taken. Both Beyonce and Ivy are said to be doing just fine. Congrats to Hov and the wife.

While all of us watching the VMA’s were surprised by the news of Beyonce’s pregnancy, fellow Destiny’s Child member and close friend Kelly Rowland says she knew about the news for sometime. The “Motivation” vocalist told People, “I have known for quite a while, and she’s happy, and Jay is happy, and that’s all that counts.” Confident that her friend is more than ready for motherhood, Kelly added “I think she’ll be an incredible mother, because she’s always been motherly. I think that she takes after so many traits from her mother. And I just think it’s going to be so natural for her. It’s natural for her now!”

Jay-Z and Bey are said to already be talking baby names but Kelly wouldn’t offer any clues as to what the heir to the throne would be called.
