Dee-1 took on this year’s SXSW and made sure to document his experience at the music festival. Dee took the stage at several venues and even had some underage fans driving from miles away to see him. The video let’s you get a grasp of how much love the New Orleans artist gets from not only the fans but other figures in the game including Nas, T.I., Young Guru and Wiz Khalifa. When Big K.R.I.T. came out to Seattle for Summer Jam in July, I got the opportunity to link up with him. We talk about how it feels to have a project that is considered in a lot of people’s top five of the year still as well as some projects he’s been listening to. It transitions into upcoming production for Freddie Gibbs and Ludacris (Gibbs is already out), getting on Pimp C’s Still Pimping album and doing Country Cuzzins with Yelawolf since they were both dropping on the same day. Then, the album talk. He reveals that 8Ball & MJG might be on the album, the title track being held back from Return Of 4Eva and what inspired the title. – Sermon

The spirit of Pimp C still bumps through the speakers on this first leak off the UGK member’s latest posthumous LP, Still Pimpin’. The southern woodgrain speak track features Pimp C’s partner in rhyme Bun B and new southern rap poster boy Big K.R.I.T. Still Pimpin’ is due for release on July 12th via Rap-A-Lot records.
