Fat Joe lets a new joint go with some guest appearances from 2 of the most sought after features in rap these days, 2 Chainz and French Montana. On “No Countrey” Joey Crack delivers a verse riddled with sports references and predictable punchlines while French for some goon talk and 2 Chainz rhymes about pushin’ rocks and paper chasin’. This joint much a formulaic collab that unfortunately doesn’t bring out the best in any of the three emcees. But by all means, press play if you just want something ignant to get your evening underway.

By the look of this studio session you would think Kanye is cooking up a star-studded G.O.O.D. Friday track. Last night Yeezy was in the lab with Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Mos Def Yasiin Bey, Busta Rhymes and DJ Khaled working on some new music. Producers Hit-Boy and The Legendary Traxster were also in the building. Whatever they were cooking up is rumored to be for Khaled’s upcoming album, Kiss The Ring. Stay tuned for further details on this mega-collab.
French Montana rounds up some of NYC’s staple emcees for a Rotten Apple remix of his hit, “Shot Caller.” Harry Fraud is back on the boards and splices in classic New York instrumentals along with his original trumpet-fueled production. Whether you’re from the Chief Rocka or Shot Caller era, you should appreciate this blast from the past fused with rhymes from Jadakiss, Styles P, Red Cafe, Fat Joe and Uncle Murda. As promised, The Game drops his new mixtape, California Republic, with host DJ Skee and a healthy assortment of features including Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Drake, Pharrell, Lupe Fiasco, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Fabolous, Fat Joe, Shyne and Trey Songz. The project should hold over fans of the West Coast emcee until the arrival of his fifth studio LP, F.I.V.E., later this year. Get the download link and tracklist after the jump.
Check out the scene of N.O.R.E.’s “Finito” video shoot on day 2 of production. Pharrell and Fat Joe were on hand fore the making of the first official video for what looks to be a big album for N.O.R.E. This isn’t a bad record but I can definitely see how it would have worked way better 8 or 9 years ago. Guess we’ll see when more fans chime in upon the video being released.
