And so the battle of the sweater rockin’ rappers continues as Common hops on Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin” off the newly released Rich Forever mixtape and strikes the first public blow in the brewing beef with Drake. While the Internets chatter over Drake’s verse on the original track with Ross and French Montana was all this buzz when the tape dropped this past Friday, it only took Common a weekend to think it over and come back with some bars for the rapper he calls “that hoe ass ni88a.” Things are about to get very interesting. #BulletProofSweaterMusic

Video: Diddy, French Montana, Red Cafe & Machine Gun Kelly Interview with Funkmaster Flex

Posted 11 Dec 2011 in Interviews

After the 106 & Park announcement that French Montana had inked with Bad Boy Records, Diddy rounded up French and the other players on his rap roster, Red Cafe and Machine Gun Kelly and took a trip down to Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 radio show. The three recent additions spoke live on air with Flex about why they chose to allign themselves with the iconic but sometimes controversial label. After becoming part of the Interscope umbrella and a major overhaul, it looks like Diddy’s imprint is reloaded and ready for another go at mainstream hip-hop prominence. Let’s wait and see what cards Mr. Combs decides to play first in the new year.

Live Music: French Montana Performs “Shot Caller” & “Straight Cash” At Southpaw

Posted 28 Jul 2011 in Live Performances

As part of The Fader x Vitamin Water Uncapped Performance series French Montana hit the stage at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY. The Bronx rapper performed his street singles “Shot Caller” and “Straight Cash.” French always has 30 heads on stage during his sets, kinda boring if you ask me.
